All those baby dragons for ME?

Izzy just about exploded with excitement when she saw what came out of the mailbox today...holy flying baby dragons batman! She had to really work hard to control her desire to grab them all and run off into the distance with her herd of dragons. But she is becoming a polite little girl so after a little naughty hop up to sniff (look at her crazy eyes!) she sat down with her brother to wait for her very own baby dragon. And now we are enjoying the cacophony of a herd of roaring dragons and happy dogs :)

The Monsters Big Adventure

A few years ago we bought a double Chariot so that we could ride bikes with The Guppies in tow.

The Guppies, however, begged to differ and did not think that was such a good idea. They are always right so we let it go ;)

But today is my birthday and I got to choose a silly activity to do this afternoon-so mr smrp and I trained the little monsters, Huck & Izzy, to ride in the doggie trailer.

Mr smrp had them jumping into the trailer within seconds! And Huck would NOT get out-even when going pretty fast and turning! Too funny! Izzy did great, too, after realizing that Huck survived the first round ;)

We will hook it up to the bike after a few more sessions and ride it around our fenced yard before we progress to clipping their harnesses to the trailer so that they are safe-but this was great progress for our first training day.

Go Monsters and yay for clicker training!

Don't you just hate it when

You notice the new hole in the water trough AFTER you scrubbed, dumped, and filled it? Silly kicking Daisy. At least it is not -38F degrees and windy :)

A few silly moments with Princess Buttercup

The ponies continue to enjoy their new tiny turn out...I can't wait til it's big enough to let them out in pairs! I love how Buttercup (aka Butternut) runs in figure 8's on her own :)

Happy 8th Birthday Princess Buttercup!

A huge happy birthday to our sweet Butternut...she is such a good, sweet, funny girl. Everyone adores her and wants to be her BFF :) we are so happy you were rescued by the Pony Whisperess and became a very loved member of our family! Happy birthday girl! (This picture is from CO).

It's Daisy's turn to be a wild mustang...

Silly spotted Daisy pony-snorting like a dragon! Everyone is getting out twice a day to run and buck and snort...we can't wait until it becomes bigger so that we can let two out at a time-but for now at least they can get some of that excess energy out :) slowly this place is starting to feel like home...but we sure do miss our friends in Colorado!

It's about time!

We have been working non stop since we arrived in November to finish all of the upgrades at our new home-it's exciting to see it all coming together!

This weekend we finally had a little extra time to put a small turn out area adjacent to the horses' regular stalls/paddocks.

By late spring they'll have a really spacious turn out area but in the mean time they can romp a bit in their mini turn out.

Here are two short videos of the youngest (Snapdragon) and the wisest (Tango) each taking a turn playing in the new space :)

It's in the 70's, no wind, and the daffodils are waking up :) so pretty!

Senior ponies are the best!

Tango and I taking a little nap in the sun...this is what having ponies is all about :) My sweet boy turns 30 next month...such a kind and gentle soul.

Sneak preview

Some pictures of the new barn upgrades (we added a back wall with big windows and stall fronts with two dutch doors in each stall on the porch side!!).

We will still have lots of ventilation in the barn (very important with horses but now I can tuck everyone in during big storms. The Pony Palace makes me and my ponies oh so happy!
