This morning I walked the Woodle and his Guppies up in the woods behind our house. I call them The Woopies :)

Rikki stayed behind with a frozen treat because I can't walk all four by myself anymore -The Woodle is simply too Wobbly and he might fall down.

The Woodle is the most zen dog we have ever had. He walks slowly, thoughtfully placing his paws carefully and deliberately with each step, and always stops to look around and ponder the meaning of life. His walks are almost a purposeful meditative event. You have to mentally check yourself before embarking on an adventure with Sir Woodle or you will find yourself in a kerfuffle of anxious and impatient emotions. But-if you take a few deep breaths and center your thoughts and focus on the moment and enjoy the walk at Woodle pace you will return in a refreshed, enlightened, and peacefully energized state.

Who needs yoga when you have a Woodle?

Ps-i will be writing about those shiny new Guppie packs soon! They are The Bomb!!

We could all learn a lesson from the Woodle. I find myself getting impatient with Meja sometimes because she is slow and deliberate and literally likes to stop and smell EVERY flower.

I shall slow down. Thanks Woodle!

Woodle and the Guppies are in the right groove.

I have the opposite with Latte who wants to race ahead to the next interesting thing. But being able to leave behind an agenda is a good idea when walking a dog or working with a horse. There's just no such thing as rushing through it. I can't wait to hear about the packs. The one I have for Java is okay but things have to be perfectly balanced and I'm not sure I like the way it sits on her spine.

Wow, you've had a medically interesting couple of weeks! Glad all the horses are recovering. Hope Bear is fully recovered. We can learn so much from our animals, if we just open our minds and hearts. Sounds like Sir Woodle is close to achieving Enlightenment.

Sir Woodle sounds like he's got it all figured out. What a sweet guy. Great picture.

I may be heading over to meditate with the Woodle! His walks sound like K's and my walks when one of us is hurt or sick. They turn out to be very special as we stroll along at a snail's pace.

My mother used to call cool things "the bomb". Is that term coming back into vogue? I wouldn't know. I'm a hermit just like you!

It's a good thing you have the Woodle to keep you centered and your feet planted firmly on terra firma!

Happy, Waggin' Tails, FUREVER!
