In my heart forever...

Yesterday was a heart crushing day at DVR. I had to let my sweet best friend go. I will miss my silly, funny, loving, wonderful Chloe more than I can ever describe with words.

The loss is so overwhelming right now...thank you all for the never ending love and support you gave to her and to me during this difficult year.

Chloe and I had the most wonderful summer imaginable and the most perfect day I can think of on her last day. We were in awe of how happy and good she looked.

It was more than shocking when she suddenly started having seizures during my morning walk with her. My incredible vet came up and we said goodbye to my girl with endless love in our hearts.

She was the most amazing creature I have ever known - overflowing with courage, grace, and integrity. And the best sense of humor ever. She was one in a million. I miss her so very very much.

Rest peacefully my sweet friend...I hope you are galloping through a meadow, bouncing and leaping with joy like I remember, knowing that we love you to the moon and back and beyond.

So sorry to hear about Chloe Sue, she was a beauty for sure. I only have known dogs and their quirky, funny, silly personalities, and not much about horses. But you and your crew made me see the similarities horses share with our wonderful canine friends. I think I want some horses now too... :)

Sue, So glad you were there with her as she said goodbye to this material world that we know. She was a magnificent creature, with a gift for teaching.

In the end, Chloe was finally a "lucky girl" thanks to you. Rescue is so rewarding and heartbreaking at the same time. There is much to learn from it and nothing in the world like it!

So so sorry for your loss! Chloe was a furry angel that left her mark on so many people. Even though I never met her, I am truly saddened today and sorry that you weren't able to enjoy her contagious personality longer. Her beautiful spirit will always remind me how magnificent these creatures are and how strongly they touch our lives. She was blessed to have you in her short life, as are your other furry babies. I just watched one of her videos last week thinking what a silly kind soul she was. Just wanted you to know how much she touched us down here in Texas. She will be missed!
