Life is a Tikventure

Rikki Tiki Tavi's tumor has grown exponentially in the past 2 weeks-it is causing more and more difficulty in her ability to walk comfortably. We do not think she is in pain-rather the mechanics of using her elbow has become very cumbersome.

Because she is one of THE happiest dogs on the planet and has an incredibly high play drive we are tapping into our creativity to find the perfect Tikventures so that our girl's days can be as fun as possible.

Luckily she loves going for car rides so we have been exploring local plowed roads that do not allow motor vehicles - she has been loving the new scents and enjoying the new views. The Guppies join us, of course, so it's almost a full family outing each time (minus the ponies).

I am so grateful for this time with RTT and that we have the flexibility in our schedules to be able to include these mini road trips into our daily routines.

The red jacket she is sporting is a Ruff Wear jacket that we call The Puppy Puffy :) she is wearing a Help Em Up harness over her Puppy Puffy and Ruff Wear boots on her rear feetsies to help avoid the little scuff wounds she was getting from slightly dragging her rear paws when she loses balance. The whole outfit works great and she looks quite stylish at the same time ;)

We sure love our Tikventures!!

She could be a model for that outfit. Glad she's enjoying herself on her adventures with you and the gang. I feel so sorry for her.

That girl is styling!
I sent a blogger friend Clifford's help 'em up harness from blue dog, and it's made a huge difference in the quality of life for her Soldier. Doggy health products have come a long way. I will ask her about his hind paws, and tell her about your booties if he's getting sores.

You've been busy posting and I have catching up to do. I marvel every time I see the things you do for your animals to give them the best quality of life possible, feeding both their physical and emotional needs. You are one special woman. I hope you know that.
